Clutter (3/18/05)
This was shot after being gone to Chicago for a week for work. I remember looking at my desk when I got home, pissed off at how I let the clutter build. I initially snapped the shot thinking that the way it was backlit from my desk lamp had provided some interesting colors and shadows. Now, I find it interesting how all of this clutter kind of tells a story. I just purchased The Incredibles DVD, which I hadn't had time to watch yet; my U2 concert tickets had just shown up in the mail; I just tried the new Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper, my new favorite soda; and at the time, I'd developed a habit for a chocolate peanut butter cappuccino at the local convenience store. All of these scenarios seem insignificant, but they really creative the flavor of that point in time, of early spring 2005. It's interesting how the objects around us say so much about who we are.
