Running To Stand Still (5/10/05)
The day my friend Mark and I saw U2 in Chicago, we got into town a few hours early. We found a place to park, and then headed out to get something to eat. We landed at this neat little corner bar, that had great burgers and fries. As we sat there, killing time, it was pretty obvious that the place was filling up with people doing the exact same thing we were doing: killing time before the U2 concert. There was a real excitement in the air, a genuine buzz about this concert. This is one of many tabletop, off-the-cuff shots that I've been messing with lately. My goal was to get the pretty girl in light blue, but instead, the camera focused on the back of the chair, really making for an interesting composition. |
