Spring Thaw (3/6/04)
Shot early in the day at my parent's place. My goal was to capture some type of beauty, seek it out if necessary, of these gloomy, muddy, dreary late winter days. In the end, I found this little gem. Mother Nature seems to be hard at work here, trying to erase the work of Old Man Winter, who obviously wore out his welcome at a party that he was barely invited to. My dad was outside at the time while I was taking this photo. He probably thought I was absolutely crazy, pointing my camera at the drainage ditch!!
