Heading In (9/1/04)
This is the last shot in my "Sailing" series, taken on the final night of sailing for the season in Neenah, Wisconsin. Usually, at this point of the night, as we head back into the peer, Jamie, the owner of the boat, and I have a few beers and reflect on a good (or not-so-good) race or the reason. I love the color pallette of this shot; I can actually sense the stillness of the night...the closeness of the air at this time of dusk. This shot makes me sad as we are heading the boat into the peer for the season. It was an awesome sailing season, with us taking a third in the first series, and placing in the bottom half of the second. All good things must come to an end.
