Of Light
(9/1/04)
This is another shot in my "Sailing Skies" series,
taken on my final night of sailing in Neenah, Wisconsin. Each
photo I shot that night kept blowing my mind. I remember my photography
teacher telling me to shy away from sunsets and landscapes. But
in my mind, the more I stare into the clouds, the more amazing
colors and patterns I see. I see a depth and a profound beatuy
that grounds me (funny, finding that in the clouds). This one
reminds me of a Claude Monet painting. I love the sun beams shining
through the tip of the clouds and the bit of orange color on
the bottom. |
