America's Diaryland 2 (8/4/04)
This photo was shot on a golf outing for work. It's also part of my "America's Dairlyland" series. There was a time when these bright red barns and blue Harvester silos were everywhere. Now, sadly enough, they border the back nine of the local golf courses. The only way these farmers are able to make their money for retirement is when they sell the land that's been in their families for years, to some local developer who will make even more money off of it. I love the way the bright red and blue stands out amongst the green, but there's something somber to me about how out of place this farm feels on top of this finely groomed golf course. What a sad state of priorites.
