Self-Portrait

This was a quick shot taken after an awesome run in the rain.
As I sat at my computer, with my 24/7 webcam pointing at me, I realized
that I could take a picture of the screen, which was displaying
a picture already being takien of me by my webcam, becoming a
bizarre type of self-portrait, a digital version of an MC Escher.
To add to the picture-in-picture feel, the design on my computer
desktop is a photograph of a large painting which resides directly
behind my computer. A slice of the bottom of the frame can be
seen behind the lava lamp in the top right part of this photo.
I love how the lava lamp illuminates this unique self-portrait.
There's a great heightened blue/red/yellow/green color scheme
going on in this picture, almost like a comic book. And that's
always cool with me. Another in my "Desktops" series. |
