I've always been a fan of night photography. I love when you
see extremely dark blacks with subtle light forms really lighting
up an area. I've always struggled to get a true rich black when
other light is present. There's just something about this image
that I think is great. Perhaps it's the way the lava lamp and
the power button of the iMac match. Maybe its the late afternoon
shadows of my kitchen off to the left. Maybe it's the green glow
on the wall or the way it highlights my Spider-Man action figure.
Maybe it's the U2 DVD playing on the screen. Or perhaps, it's
the fact that it's just a slice of my life, with many of my favorite
things all rolled into one. There's something about the colors,
the purple/green combo, that I find quite exciting. I see this
view many hours a day! Another of my "Desktops" series. |
