One Small Step For Music... (8/28/04)
Another shot in my "Desktops" series. There's a website out there called
The iPod Lounge that's dedicated to all things iPod. Initially, my goal was to take a photo to submit to them for their gallery. In the end, it just became another study of the clutter on my desk. My iPod is one of the coolest gadgets I've ever purchased. It's truly changed the way I listen to music. It has over 7,500 songs on it from my personal collection. It fits close to my entire collection of 800+ CDs, but not quite. Imagine fitting 800 CDs in your front pocket and having that much music at your disposable at any given moment. Today I was listening to all of my songs on shuffle play. Talk about cool. The fact that my little moon man was sitting right next to it, the symbol of MTV, something that drastically changed music back in the 80s, seemed to be a pretty cool contrast. I also like the dark setting, and how the light from the display screen reflects on the moon man. So which is the more innovative? Video killed the radio star, but some are saying that the iPod is killing the album. We'll answer that question in another 20 years!
