Reflect (10/26/03)
Through an odd twist of fate, I currently live across the street
from the Catholic school and church that I attended as a young
boy. Although I'm no longer a practicing Catholic, like so many
people my age, I still think about God, religion, and spirituality
every day of my life. One of the main topics of this website
always seems to be about my journey of faith. Much like my physical
relationship to the church, never in a million years would I
have imaged my spiritual relationship with God. Living across
the street from this beautiful building, it's become a constant
source of artistic inspiration. I seem to be drawing and photographing
this building all the time. This shot is from a beautiful day
last fall. I didn't realize the reflection of the sun on the
crucifix on the top of the steeple until I got the photos back.
