Purple

Here Prince is performing an encore performance of "Purple
Rain." Hearing the first chords of this song live literally
gives me goose bumps. It's one of the things on my list of things
to do before I die that I can now check off. This performance
of "Purple Rain" rates up there with only a few other
songs as my top concert moments in my lifetime (I've seen a lot
of concerts). Other highlights for me in the past have been Paul
McCartney's version of "Hey Jude," and U2's "Walk
On." All of these moments are performances that give me
a rare connection with the artist, where I can sense their energy
and love. These simply breath taking moments are moments to live
for. If you can't tell, I'm a huge Prince fan. This concert converted
my friends Splash, Jodi, and Julie into fans that night as well. |
