Musicology
In Black And White

Prince is one of my all-time favorite artists. I've been listening
to him for over 20 years now. I've seen him in concert twice,
this time better than the last. There was something different
in the air that night, as he played the bulk of his older stuff.
The concert had an energy to it, as if he's finally come to terms
with his musical identity of the past. The is the same shot as
the previous picture, simply turned to black and white in Adobe
PhotoShop. The lighting for this part of the show was quite stark.
It almost felt black and white to me. I love black and white
concert photography, and decided to turn this colored shot into
something quite raw, full of contrasts. Here's he's performing
the song "Musicology." |
